Revell has released a Model kit in this Scale, containing a Marquis Fighter, a Kazon Ship, and our beloved Voyager back in 1996. All three ships are in the awesome 1:1400 scale.
This Kit is much much much much rarer than the bigger Scale Kits of the Voy in 1: 677 size or I believe also the new 1:1000 Voyager Kit which is, at the time of this Post not available within Europe.
The BOX
The Box can be swing opened and displays some more information on the inner side.
On the front side, it does display, three different models which will be part of the box set.
I do mention them above already and it is still the USS Voyager NCC 74656, the Marquis fighter, and a Kazon ship. It also shows the four Standard REVELL Colors that get delivered with the kit as well as a brush and glue.
If you swing open the front cover, it does display all information again. It also shows the ships in painted action and a Multi-Language text.

English

French

Dutch

On the backside, it shows you the skill level and a fill assembled kit.
in this particular case Level 3 for medium-skilled models with 31-100 parts.
It also displays you all other available kits, the Kazon Torpedo, the Kazon Fighter, the 677- Voyager as well as an extremely high-scaled Marquis fighter.
Additionally only on the backside is the Display stand for those Models mentioned and displayed.
Below are also the pictures from the left/right side as well as the up and downer side.
BOX CONTENT
after opening, you can easily flip it out.
if you have the same kit, your picture may differ I do bough an already opened kit. Normally the plastic pieces should all be within the plastic bag.
It contains:
- 4x colors
- glue
- 1 brush
- documentation
- decals
- four frames full with plastic parts
THE PLASTIC PARTS
4 frames in total exist.
One frame with 6 parts, second with 4, third with 10, and the last one with 11 parts. In total 31 Parts. One Part less and it would just be skill level 2 instead of 3.
all parts are highly detailed. it is just a shame that Revell has not thought about any solution to have the Warp-Nacelles flippable there are also not really clear parts available, that make it difficult to enlighten the Warp-Nacelles.
DECALS
There is a small Bow of decals available. 52 in total. As the Decal bow, i do have is more than 20 years old, it do has a yellowish touch.
COLOR
four different colors are delivered – a white, blue, gray, and yellowish touched beige. Why the main color of the Kazon ship is missing is something I do not know…
The glue is the non-acid glue that is sticking the parts together instead of the version that is chemical bonding it.
The Brush is from my point a joke. Yes, you can paint the Voyager in total. But detailing specific elements is impossible. I would have wished that a thinner Bruh is available.
ASSEMBLING DOCUMENTATION
The assembling instruction is detailed like always for Revell. It does have 8 pages in total
SECURITY LETTER
An two-page document in multiple languages containing information about dangerous small parts etc who should not be used by children etc… Please follow the Instruction. do not eat, smoke and and and..
FAZIT
1:1400 is an amazing scale, getting the Voyager in this size, allows everyone to combine it together with the Enterprise and other ships in the same scale. The Model is still highly detailed enough to see windows and other Stuff. I do not like the fact that the Nacelles are not flippable. Getting the Marquis Raider on top is even better. It is still a “Starfleet” designed vessel, even if modified and a good addon to your fleet. The Kazon fighter, yes that’s something I personally do not need but, true, it is part of the main actors within the first season. so am fine with that. Having the colors onboarded and glue is perfect for a direct startup. The Price, back in 1996, for this kit you would have paid 49 D-Mark which would be around 25 Euro at the time of currency exchange. Based on today’s pricing, it would be around 50 euro or equal to 45$ which is not bad at all.
For me, it is a must-have for all 1:1400 scalers and I will start to build the model in the near future.
