Yesterday it finally arrived. I made a deal for some models where the owner was starting to sell his collection. I purchased the “Enterprise NX” (1:1400) from Akira, USS Jenolan (1:1400) from Eaglemoss and the USS Rhode Island (1:1400) from Starcraft. Plus those small shuttles. I paid for all 7 Shuttles 17 euro in total. I was trying to inquire what others have build in my most favorable size.
Having those shuttle now in front of me it shows me again that the bigger Runabouts aren’t a problem, The Delta-flyer who is honestly big in comparison to other ships, is not easy.
Below is an Picture which displays it in Centimeter.
The Small Delta Flyer also displays additional issues as it is so small that even a professional company has problems to pour epoxy/ resign into a form and get a good final result. Even for those models, the Purchaser has to do some afterwork to ensure that there it is in good presentable condition. My task would be even more complexe – building an own model (no iam not a copycat), building an own negative form, finding an LED solution. Pour it with epoxy and afterwork stuff…
lets the fun start tomorrow… 🙂 klick on #2 for more…
